Expansion and diversification plans on the horizon Producers believe that the future of agriculture will bring good things for their business. Half of all producers are planning to expand and/or diversify (55%) their farm or business in the next five years. At the same time, one quarter of producers are planning on making no changes to their operation (27%), in contrast to the eighteen percent who are planning to reduce their operation or exit the industry.
