2010-11 Northeast Florida Education Guide Northeast Florida 2010-11 Publisher Mike Clements Providing a quality education for our children is one of the greatest gifts we can give as parents. A solid well-rounded education plays a key role in future economic vitality and prosperity and also gives our children a much-needed sense of community. It is our mission to provide families with quality information about educational choices in our region. If this is your first time using our guide, we hope that it helps you in your quest to find the right school for your children. With that said, we are proud once again to present The Northeast Florida Education Guide , in this, our thirteenth year of publishing. Take a look inside and you will see the impact of how Florida’s education reforms are taking shape and are continuing to change the lives of our children who attend public schools. Look further and you will get a comprehensive look at the diverse educational opportunities being offered by the private schools in our region as well. Also, check out our new pre-school directory. The Guide continues to provide our readers with the most comprehensive view of the education landscape of Northeast Florida. I would like to especially thank the Florida Doctors Insurance Company for being the 2011-12 Front Cover Art Contest Sponsor. Our theme this year is “What does being safe mean to you.” This will be our third year of providing college scholarship funds to three winners from the elementary, middle and high school grades. Thanks also to The Jacksonville Bank for being our bank partner for the 2011-12 Front Cover Art Contest.
