That commitment was to provide them with the best safety services in the industry. Since then, training has become the nucleus where everything from our quality to our services start. When the SMS Training Academy was opened we were educating 1000 workers a year which, at the time, seemed like a significant number. We are now on pace to see 20,000 workers pass through our doors this year. The academy’s all inclusive nature and quality of services has been able to conveniently provide our customers with the highest level of training available. I’m proud of the focus and effort that has gone into our Lafayette campus, but what is most exciting is offering those services to customers across the globe. Our onsite trainers have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles to deliver the same quality services we provide in South Louisiana. Recently we’ve opened a regional training center in Shreveport, and within the year, we plan to open even more training centers to better serve our customers across the United States. Our ultimate goal is to bring more services to the oil and gas industry. As recent events can attest, in this industry proper safety training can mean the difference between life and death.
