Letter from the Editor Dear Kids 4 Animals Readers, This issue is dedicated to Earth Day! We felt is was important to talk about how you can go green with your pet and help the environment. Other articles include your regular Animal Updates (Pg. 4), Ask a Vet (Pg. 12), and the Animal Story of the Month (Pg. 6). We are eagerly awaiting your stories, photos and drawings of your animals to start a new section called Claim to Fame. If you would like to make your pet a star, share a photo and story and send it to educator@calgaryhumane.ca. Next issue we will hear from our animal protections officers on what it’s like to be an animal cop, and will look into the lives of the creepy crawlies that live in our backyards.
