Q A For Your Skinformation. My friend got fi ller injections in her lips, and I was surprised that she looked completely natural. I’ve always thought that lips with fi ller look very big and obvious. So now I’m wondering, if fi ller would help my lips, which have gotten sort of defl ated and wrinkly like a prune over the years? Q A A coworker recently had a chemical peel done on her face, and her skin looks so nice and fresh now. Now I’m considering having a peel, but can you tell me more about it? Chemical peels are one of the oldest cosmetic procedures around, and they are still a great treatment today. They are used to improve dull skin, discoloration, fi ne lines, acne, and more. Peels come in all strengths, from mild peels with no visible healing to powerful ones, so there’s a peel to suit just about everyone. Peels are very popular with our patients for both improving and maintaining beautiful skin. The majority of our patients do a “day of beauty” when they receive botox, some fi ller, mole and growth removal and then a peel. This refreshing look brightens the skin and is a great pick-me-up-perk-me-up trick. Most of our patients would say “No, thank you” to the over-fi lled lips that seem so popular with celebrities. As you’ve seen, though, lip fi ller doesn’t have to look like that. We use fi ller for many patients just like you, who simply want their lips to look like they used to. Filler can improve defi nition, volume loss and fl attening, and feathering of lipstick. Restoring the lips contributes greatly to an overall youthful yet natural appearance.
