Q A For Your Skinformation. My hands look so old! I “talk with my hands” a lot, but now I have become self-conscious about them and sometimes even try to hide them. Q A Our hands take a beating, and boy does it show. Brown spots, wrinkles, roughness, and gnarled tendons and veins make our hands look so much older than they actually are. The good news is that there are ways to turn back the hands of time. We use a combination of laser and light-based treatments, dermal fi llers, and quality skincare products to make hands look years younger and healthier. In the meantime, make sure to wear a sunscreen on your hands and reapply during the day especially if you are driving. Use one of the great new tinted sunscreens, your hands will look smoother immediately, like wearing a little makeup! My face breaks out constantly and the acne creams weren’t working, so my doctor prescribed an antibiotic pill to treat it. However, I’m hesitant to take it because I get a lot of side eff ects from antibiotics. Is there anything else that is eff ective on acne? Absolutely. Although there is a lot about acne that is still unkown, our understanding of this often frustrating condition continues to grow, bringing new and better treatment options. While acne medications can be helpful, they aren’t the only choice. It’s also imperative to address hormonal and dietary factors. Many patients also see their acne improve with non-medication treatments such as lasers, other energy devices, and chemical peels.
