Your Best Summer Vacation Ever It’s that time of year again – summer vacations, weekend getaways and family reunions. That means you’ll probably be doing some travelling. I don’t know about you but it used to be that when I travelled with my family it always sounded like a good idea initially. Then we arrive at the hotel, all four of us in cramped quarters, and before you know it the ideal vacation turned into more of a stressful foray that couldn’t end quickly enough. But I found a solution that works amazingly well. It’s feng shui (pro- nounced feng shui). Feng shui has been around for thousands of years and there are many different types. Feng shui can be used for many different things from attracting more wealth, creating better relation- ships, finding your dream partner and other things. The one that works best when you’re travelling is Compass feng shui. Compass feng shui is ideal for creating balance and harmony which is just what you need when you’re on vacation (not to mention the reason you’re on vacation in the first place). Here are some feng shui tips for creating a relaxing vacation for you and your family this summer:  Before you leave for your getaway place your tickets and travel itinerary in the Northwest area of your home. The Northwest represents Travel and will help make your car, train or air travel go more smoothly.  Pack a photo of you and the people you are travelling with in your suit- case. When you get to your hotel place your photo in the Southwest area of the room. The Southwest rep- resents Relationships and will help you to get along better and enjoy each other’s company even more.  If you’re travelling with your partner or spouse on a getaway for two, plac- ing a picture of the two of you in the Southwest will make your time to- gether more romantic.  If you bring vitamins or medications with you place these in the East area of your room because the East repre- sents Health. Getting ill when you’re away from home is no fun.  Finally, maximize your enjoy- ment by placing beach towels, event tickets, scuba gear or other items for activities you’ll be doing in the West because this area is all about being playful. Even if you just put one of your ‘toys’ here that will work for you. Use your new feng shui tips when you travel this summer and I guarantee you’ll be saying, “It was my best summer vacation ever!” —Chriss Barr Chriss Barr is a Feng Shui and Dowsing Expert as well as the author of 4 Easy Ways to Ignite Your Love Life & Fatten Your Wallet.
