Par cipa ng in Division I athle cs and studying business, he hopes to expand his family’s business a er college. I had the privilege to interview this California na ve on his experiences, challenges, and commitments to The University of Arizona. 1. What is a Smart Move you’ve made in college? My Smart Moves are to eat healthy and get sufficient rest. We only get one body, so treat it right! massage, etc.) Most weeks during the spring semester we travel Thursday through Sunday. I love food, so it can be really hard at mes, but there comes a me when you realize how important a healthy diet/lifestyle is, not only to your athle c performance but to your overall well-being. “ I set goals, plan how to reach them, and implement the plan on a day-to-day basis. 6. Does par cipa on in an athle cs program affect your academic/career choices? I don’t believe my par cipa on in athle cs affects my academic or career choices. I’m studying business because it interests me and it has to do with the career I wish to pursue a er college. 5. How do you balance UA Track & Field with academics and Greek Life? I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for track, so track is definitely one of my top of my priori es. It’s really important to me to focus on my educa on and networking so I won’t be stranded a er I graduate and complete my athle c career. I set goals, plan how to reach them, and implement the plan on a day-to-day basis.
