However, we do not endorse or accept liability related to the products or services listed or advertised in this directory. There are steps that we recommend you take before hiring any vendor: 1. Contact at least three potential service providers to inquire about costs and expected timelines related to your project. Have a solid understanding of the proposed work to be done related to those costs. 2. Do your research! Consult various online resources or searches to fi nd additional references or previous violations. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is one such resource. Keep in mind that businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation. 3. Verify that the service provider you choose to work with is appropriately licensed, bonded and insured related to the service(s) they provide. There are also a number of other steps you can take to ensure the service provider you select is right for the job: • Find out how many jobs the service provider has had that are similar or are related to the work you are looking to have done. For more timely projects, ask how many other jobs the service provider has and/or how many people the company has employed who are qualifi ed to do the work. • When you see this symbol next to a listing, it means this service provider is an affi liate member of a REALTOR® Association.
