Lincolnland Link Convention Issue Time for Convention : Page 3

Linconland Link District Information | 3 Mike Oster PResIdent-eLeCt I am still looking for all the emails of current Presidents, President Elects to keep you informed. Just email me with your current email. I can then share it with all your other class presidents. I am also still looking for someone to volunteer to be Edi-tor for “The Link.” Jason Koch has done an excellent job, so thank you Jason. Also, one of my responsibilities is Club Building. I need a volunteer to head that effort. Currently we have a couple of ideas, but there is no formal club building going on. Our new national plan is called “the BLITZ,” in which you only need 15 members to do a POM (permanent organiza-tional meeting). We are much closer to Springfield and Chandler conven-tions in June and July. Please register ASAP. This is your opportunity to be trained and meet other Exchangites. Child abuse prevention month has Blue Mondays, Believe in the Blue, and Save Abandoned Babies month (by procla-mation of the Governor). Awards, Awards and more Awards. Information has been sent out to the club presidents on all the awards. Don’t forget to get the applications in on time. The deadlines and applications are on the National website. Training, training and more training. We intend to do trainings in April and May in the mid-state and down South. If you cannot make the training, we have PowerPoint or PDF versions that members can go through on their own. Don’t forget to ask for new members, ask for help, and ask your community what programs of service they need. A well known statement from the early 20th century went “People will support things that they are allowed to create.” Allow-ing other to help you is the easiest way to get a “buy in” from volunteers. Have a great Spring and Summer and share the “Magic of Exchange.” It’s time to send in your award nominations With our 2012 Lincoln-exchangite of the year land District Convention Jim Ruzon approaching on June 21st 1111 S.
