FRED STRINGFELLOW is the executive vice president of the American Sports Builders Association. He has been involved with the association management profession (including meeting and event planning, financial management, strategic planning, communications and more) since 1992. Stringfellow is executive vice president of the King Stringfellow Group.He a Bachelor of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College (NY) and received his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 1998. DENISE STOKES is the PR/Communications Manager for the Frisco, TX Convention & Visitors Bureau, and in this capacity, she acts as city spokesperson through print and broadcast interviews and presentations. She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators, holds an MBA from Texas Woman’s University and is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Dallas as well as a former radio personality and television news writer. JOHN DAVID is Chief Operating Officer for USA BMX, the newly formed national governing body for BMX in the U.S., created when the American Bicycle Association (ABA) and the National Bicycle League (NBL) joined forces in 2011. Part of the ABA team since 2000, David is focused on unity as USA BMX kicks off its first full season, bringing ABA and NBL athletes and fans together and creating a true BMX championship series. MIKE CHANDLER has worked in the sports industry for over 25 years. As vice president of sports industry relations for the National Association of Tournament Directors, Mike leverages his knowledge of tournament planning to shape sports related programs and services for members. His connectivity to the sports community ensures NATD offers relevant information and education to tournament directors. Prior to NATD, Mike spent 13 years at USA Volleyball leading operations for the USA National Team tours, International Tournaments, and the USAV Championship events. ZOEY ROBINSON-BUDRESKI is the owner and artistic director of B'more Abilities Special Arts Center in Baltimore, Maryland, a dance program for individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. She was a professional ballerina with David Taylor's Ballet in Denver, Colorado, and with Aspen Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Denver Ballet Theatre. She also runs Project SOAR, a non-profit that helps special needs children and adults explore extreme sports including zip-lining. She is also the mother of two special-needs children. KIRSTI VAN DORNICK attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree in 2007. Since then she has gone on to obtain her certification with Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology as a Certified Exercise Physiologist and received her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certificate through the NSCA. Since 2009 Kirsti has held the Athlete Development Coordinator position through the joint partnership between The Steadward Centre for Personal & Physical Acheivement and the Alberta Sport Development Centre – Capital Region at the University of Alberta. JEAN KNAACK is the executive director of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).She has a BS in Human Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and an MPA from George Mason University. Nationally, she counsels running club and event leaders on various topics of importance to the running community. She serves on the coordinating committee for the National Physical Activity Plan for the US, and is an avid runner and triathlete. LINDA DOBEL is currently a freelance writer, editor and public relations specialist who has more than 25 years of experience as a trade industry publications editor. Her most recent positions include editor of Trade & Industry Development magazine, Contact Professional magazine and Sports Destination Management magazine. Previously she served as editor of Customer Inter@ction Solutions magazine. Linda’s in-depth knowledge of diverse industries enables her to bring readers the information they most need.
