Breakfast, premiered last year with huge success, and will be held bright and early Friday morning, giving you a place to network with peers on a variety of topics while enjoying a delicious full breakfast. E.G.G.S. stands for what the breakfast is all about, Eat, Gather (knowledge), Grow (your thoughts) and Share (your ideas)! Come ready to talk about solutions to our industry’s challenges with your peers. Registration for this breakfast ($20) has limited seating, so be sure to sign up early with your pre-registration. Friday has a nice range of turf, marketing, and applicator seminars, a special Water-Efficient Landscaping seminar, and national speaker Gordon Mann presenting on the topics of Customer Service in Arboriculture and Pruning Young Trees in the arborist track. It should be a fun educational day, with attendees gaining all kinds of ideas and information for their businesses. The Expo Trade Show this year, will again be on Thursday afternoon from 1-5 pm and Friday afternoon from 12-4 pm. We are planning to have a full show of over 150 booths with the latest in plants, products and technology. Remember, in this economy, Face Time, It Matters! Last year we began a fun certification challenge, that involved plant identification in many of our trade show booths. We offered up a WII game system to the person who received the best score on the game card. Once again we will offer this fun game of competition. We hope you’ll play this year, and provide some good hearty competition! That’s a quick overview of the fun things we have going on at the Expo. We hope you’ll mark your calendars, save money by pre-registering, and join us! What can be better than networking, learning, sharing, and having a good laugh or two in the middle of winter? Please see pages 14-17 of this Taproot issue to learn more about this year’s Expo. Come enjoy! INLA . . P age .1
