Body & Soul

Introducing LaFace

Lisa Alexander lived in Fort Worth for only a few years, but it was long enough to make lasting friendships. She's a frequent visitor to Texas, so it's only fitting that she kick off a nationwide launch of her LaFace Laboratories line of skin-care products at Stanley Korshak in Dallas this month, followed by fall rollouts at Fred Segal in Los Angeles and Epi center Med Spa in San Francisco. LaFace also will be featured in select Four Seasons properties after the new year. Alexander dropped off samples eariler this summer and discussed why and how LaFace came to be.

Alexabder always has lived an active lifestyle, modeling for top European designers and traveling extensiveley while living in England, Switzerland and India. She now makes her home in San Francisco, and looks like one of those women who could hike 20 miles by dawn, take three meetings before lunch and be ready for cocktails at 5 without breaking a sweat. But Alexander says her lifestyle was starting to show on her skin, and she couldn't find anything that worked. So she hired scientists who specialize in skincare and, after six years years of research and development and three years perfecting the packaging LaFace is here with the company slogan: “Mastering the art of age reversal through what nature has given and what science has perfected.”

Using organic ingredients, the collection features only a hint of fragrance, nothing overly sweet or spicy.
