Le Tour de Sainte Genevieve is a bicycle road race which has over 300 participants and attracts racers from all over the country. It was also voted the Missouri State Championship Road Race for the third year in a row. The roads in Sainte Genevieve are tailor made for a bike race. The course combines a variety of flat sections, rolling hills, and long climbs that makes a bicycle road race a true race. As opposed to other bicycle road races, Le Tour deSainte Genevieve has a King of the Mountain Challenge where riders race to the top of a grueling hill to win the challenge for a cash prize at the end of the day. Watching the riders battle for First Place up the climb is always a crowd pleaser. New for 2010 was a Main Street finish in the heart of downtown Sainte Genevieve. Shop owners and spectators lined Main Street to see the finish. 2011 is the 5th year for Le Tour de Sainte Genevieve bicycle road race. Due to the overwhelming success of the race, and positive racer feedback, the organizers plan to continue this race for many years to come.
