ground for underprivileged kids. For hundreds who bought t-shirts and Amy Peters Necklaces, water wells were dug in Malawi, Africa, with the proceeds. All of this sparked by the simple notion; one day, one deed, one difference. All told, besides the thousands of simple acts of kindness, nearly 100 non-profit organizations were touched by the generous souls determined to do a good deed. Some of those include Watering Malawi (an organiza-tion which provides life-saving clean water to those in Malawi,) World Vision,Heifer International, 12 children’s hospitals, Children’s Homes in 5 states, Samaritan’s Purse, Organ donation agencies from 8 states, blood banks, food banks, over a dozen Women’s and Children’s shelters, Big Brothers and Sisters, Think First! Brain Injury Prevention Organization, Good Will Industries, Doctors without Borders and Shoes for Orphan Souls just to name a few. Maggie Lee for Good Day; October 29th, 2010 is fast-approaching.
