Th is is the time of year when I get a lot of phone calls at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club Learning Cen-ter to book an iron fi tting or to answer questions about clubs. Some tips along those lines: Try to demo all the irons that meet your playing needs, and ask an experienced fi tter about certain clubs as well as the best process for locating the optimal equipment. Set makeup is important. Look at your longest playable iron all the way down to your wedges.
