Linda Barnickel, archivist in the Special Collections Division of the Nashville Public Library, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Government Historians Committee of the National Council on Public History (NCPH), which represents the needs, interests, and aspirations of government historians within NCPH. Gloria Gonzalez is the new Coordinator for The American Archivist Reviews Portal! Gonzalez holds an MLIS with a specialization in archival science from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Mississippi. Currently, she is the library strategist at Zepheira, where she helps academic and public libraries, archives, and rare book libraries incorporate principles of linked data into their work. Melanie Mueller has been named director of the Niels Bohr Library and Archives at the American Institute of Physics, a repository and clearinghouse for information on the history of physics, astronomy, geophysics, and other physical sciences. Mueller has been acting director since November and has served as chair and steering committee member of SAA’s Science, Technology, and Healthcare Section as well as coordinator for the SAA Archives and Archivists listserv. Mueller has previously worked in the Broadcasting Archives of the University of Maryland and in the archives of the Mt. Vernon Estate. She holds a master’s of library science with a concentration in archives, records, and information management from the University of Maryland, College Park. Christopher J. Prom has been awarded the third Andrew Turyn Endowed Professorship at the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign. Selected from a highly competitive process, Prom will hold this honor beginning August 16, 2016, and continuing for five years. Through the endowment, Prom will lead a collaborative research and implementation program to facilitate an improved means of preserving and making available born-digital records. Prom currently serves as SAA Publications Editor. Keli Rylance, formerly head of the Southeastern Architectural Archive at Tulane University, has joined Kansas State University Libraries as head of the Richard L.D. and Marjorie J. Morse Department of Special Collections. She oversees the development of the department’s physical and digital collections and works with donors. Bonnie Marie Sauer has been appointed the new archivist for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. A recipient of the Team Award for Excellence in Service presented by the New York Federal Executive Board in 2014 and the Guardian Award presented by the Archivist of the United States in 2013, she previously served as the archivist for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
