THE ASSOCIATED BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS OF GEORGIA recently installed McCarthy Building Companies' Jeff Toebe as the Chairman of the Board. ATKINS announced the addition of Brian Bolick as a Senior Project Director for the company. Bolick has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Clemson and more than 25 years of experience within the engineering industry. BALFOUR BEATTY CONSTRUCTION recently hired Russ Brockelbank as Project Executive. Brockelbank will oversee multiple high-profile projects and is poised to lead the effort of expansion into the commercial office and hospitality markets. BURNS & MCDONNELL has promoted Dotun Famakinwa, P.E. to the position of Transmission and Distribution Practice Manager for the Atlanta regional office. He will lead a team of 50 engineers and technical professionals in Atlanta and Orlando, Florida, working on large substation and transmission projects. GRESHAM, SMITH AND PARTNERS add miles ellenberg as a Water Resources EIT. Ellenberg recently received his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan. GLE ASSOCIATES, INC. }hired mathews howe PG as a Senior Engineer/Scientist. Howe has a Bachelor of Art in Geology with a minor in Environmental Studies from Wittenberg University. He has more than 15 years of experience in environmental consulting and geotechnical engineering and will perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments, as well as soil and groundwater remediation for the company. HUSSEY GAY BELL announced the expansion of its Savannah-based architecture team with the hire of Antonio Serrano. Serrano has more than 15 years of industry-related experience specializing in residential, commercial and military projects. JBA CONSULTING ENGINEERS announced the promotion of Brian Patrick to Director of Consulting and Technology. MICHAEL BAKER INTERNATIONAL welcome back rick strichland P.E. to its team as a Project Manager. The firm also announced the promotion of Beth Ann Schwartz, P.E. to Senior Associate; Schwartz has been with Michael Baker for the past 15 years. In addition, Michael Baker announced that 450 employees earned recognition by becoming newly appointed corporate officers or associates through the company’s Corporate Officer and Title program. NOVA ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL'S Kennesaw office welcomed Scott Edwards, P.E. as a Construction Services Group Manager. He brings 20 years of engineering experience to the team, with an emphasis in construction materials testing, special inspections and geotechnical engineering. Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University. PRIME ENGINEERING expanded its Infrastructure Department with the addition of Andrew Simms, EIT to its team as a Project Engineer. Simms earned his Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Mercer University School of Engineering. RESOLUTE ENVIRONMENTAL & WATER RESOURCE CONSULTING announced the addition of Keith Ziobron, P.E. As the firm's Principal Engineer, Ziobron will focus on brand expansion in the areas of brownfield assessment and redevelopment, environmental compliance and permitting, as well as economic development. S&ME welcomed Dr. Daren Zywicki as a Principal Engineer for the firm. With 20 years of experience in geostructural engineering and construction, Zywicki has expertise in deep excavation support in urban areas, including work in New York, Miami, Cleveland and Washington, D.C. The firm also welcomedJeff Doubrava, P.E. to its Atlanta office. Doubrava spent the first 10 years of his career in the Atlanta market and in 2010 transferred to Nashville, Tennessee, to lead S&ME’s geotechnical engineering services in the middle and western parts of the state. Doubrava is a Senior Engineer with 15 years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience on transportation, industrial, energy and commercial projects. W. R. TOOLE ENGINEERS, INC. announced two new hires to their Augusta office: Oliver Weston, EIT joined the firm’s municipal infrastructure group and Brandon Brewer, EIT has joined the firm’s transportation group. Weston graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, while Brewer graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Magna Cum Laude.
