By Carol Ann Donnelly We all learned in elementary school that everything is made of molecules. In humans, molecules of DNA are called chromosomes, and scientists have discovered that those chromosomes have stretches of DNA called telomeres. These telomeres are like aglets (the plastic tips on shoelaces) that keep the chromosomes from fraying and wreaking havoc on our genetic information.
