The first edition of the Roller Derby portion of the Games will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska, in conjunction with the 2016 USARS National Championships, which will feature for the first time “all roller sports under one roof.” Vintage Motorsports Event Coming to Birmingham The 11th annual Barber Vintage Festival presented by Triumph Dealers of North America will be held October 9-11 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The three-day motorcycle festival is one of the largest vintage festivals in the country. With more than 65,000 attending last year’s festival, up from 61,000 the year before, the festival continues to grow each year. 2015 GoPro Mountain Games Drew 62,079 to Vail The 2015 GoPro Mountain Games, which took place in the Town of Vail on July 4-7, 2015, attracted 62,079 spectators, according to an independent survey prepared by Intercept Insight, LLC. The survey also reported an economic impact of $4.87 million to the Town of Vail. More than 210 volunteers gave their time to help make the Mountain Games happen, and more than 240 members of the media came to cover the action. A potential U.S. TV audience of 197 million had access to the action on NBC Sports Network and on NBC during the event’s inclusion in ‘NBC World Adventure.’ Rodeo Event Returning to Midland, Texas The Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association (PAFRA) will host its World Finals Rodeo for U. S. military men and women at the Midland County Horseshoe, 2514 Arena Trail, for the fifth year in a row, Veteran’s Day weekend, Friday Nov. 13 and Saturday Nov. 14 with three performances followed by a Sunday, Nov. 15 community team roping fund raiser for the armed forces event. Fat Bike Nationals Returning to Ogden in 2016, Grand Rapids for 2017, 2018 USA Cycling has named Ogden, Utah, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, as the host cities for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Fat Bike National Championships. Following a successful debut at Ogden's Powder Mountain Resort this year, the event will return to the Wasatch Mountains for a second time in 2016 before heading to Grand Rapids for a two-year contract in 2017 and 2018.
