The Moosehaven Retirement Community, aka "The City of Contentment", put on it's largest American Pride event in the 14 year history that it has hosted the celebration. Executive Director John Capes said that he hoped and expected the turnout would exceed and possibly double last year's record turnout of 5,000 visitors. By the time the fireworks lit up the sky over the St. John's River, it appeared he was correct. Country music has always been the mainstay of the American Pride concert schedule, and this year Moosehaven did not disappoint. 18-year old Clay County cutie Stephanie Renae open the entertainment at 2 PM and performed a 60-minute set concluding with the popular "Independence Day". Nalani Quintello, a 19-year old Orange Park resident, and season 13 American Idol contestant, followed with a 90-minute set which included her own penned "Baby You Can Drive Me Anywhere". Beautiful 38-year old Lyndie Burris, also of Orange Park, played a rousing set with her biggest applause coming after performing Dolly Parton's "9 to 5". The crowd also appreciated her rendition of Patsy Cline's "Crazy". Headliner act, Brothers Osborne, an American country duo composed of brothers T.J. and John Osborne, started about 30 minutes late due to some technical problems, but once on the stage, thousands of fans showed their enthusiasm for the relatively new country stars. The boys played their two hit singles from a yet unreleased album, but covered a dozen country favorites. Their 2013 debut single "Let's Go There", which peaked at number 36 on the charts, and their current single "Rum", both could be heard sung by many in attendance.
