Several thousand people of all nationalities took part in the celebration of the 2014 Scottish Games on a day that began a "wee bit" cloudy, but ended as sunny as a picturesque afternoon in the Scottish Highlands. Admission to the games was $12 in advance and $15 at the gate, with children under ten admitted for free. Gates opened at 9 AM along with the beginning of competition. Many of the more exciting events of the games involved displays of strength, including the tossing of a 16-pound Clachneart, or "Stone of Strength", the 22-pound "Hammer" Throw, a 16-pound "Sheaf" Toss over increasing heights, Continued on page Can I get help paying for my health insurance?
