Marmon Engineered Wire & Cable (Marmon EWC) officially opened its 16,000 ft 2 Innovation and Technology Center on Kripes Road in East Granby, CT, USA on No -vember 5, 2013. This newly opened center provides a unique research and development resource that is available to the 14 manu -facturers of high-performance wire and cable products that comprise the Marmon Engineered Wire & Cable group of companies. The Innovation and Technology Center allows these companies to enhance relationships with their custom -ers involved in developing cables for high-performance and harsh environment applications. Marmon EWC has committed in excess of US$1.2 mil -lion to create the Innovation Group and the new Innovation and Technology Center. Further investment will continue as the need arises. We have always considered new products as the life blood of the Marmon EWC Group. In 2014, new products will account for over US$20 million in revenue. Dennis Chalk is Rob Konnik , Chief Technology Officer, who leads a staff of 14 people including full-time Engineers and part-time and Contract Consultants. Dan Masakowski , Director of Materials Development, oversees a staff of Chemists and Technicians.
