Department of Plant & Environmental Sciences Departmental News Items February 2009, Vol. 1: Issue 2 In tro uctio d n: This is the second Plant and Environmental Sciences Department accomplishment newsletter. As you will see, our outstanding faculty and staff work on many exciting projects in areas of teaching, research and outreach. I realize we are busy, and greatly appreciate everyone taking a few minutes to share your accomplishments with the department and campus. It is beneficial for us to know what our ‘department mates’ are doing, but more importantly, it is critical our administration know what great faculty and staff we have. This month, the focus of the Newsletter seems to be water; from certification of our SWAT Lab, to the teaching, outreach, and publications of Dr. Rolston St. Hilaire. These accomplishments will be shared with our constituents and administrators; especially the Regents and the Vice-President for Research. Please continue to submit your accomplishments to Jessica Phillips who organizes the Newsletter.
