RAHN JOSEPH P. RAHN, 74, of Boynton Beach, FL, longtime resident of Lower Merion Township, passed away on November 14, 2009. Born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ he attended Atlantic City High School, Michigan State University and the Wharton School. He was married for 48 years to NINA STUKELMAN, by whom he was predeceased. He spent his career primarily in management in the women's garment industry. His passions were his extended family, Philadelphia sports teams, the Jersey shore and the ponies.

Before a recent debilitating illness he was physically active and enjoyed golf, long walks and bicycle riding. His warmth, generosity and sense of humor made him a beloved friend to many. Survived by loving daughters DEBRA, LISA and NATALIE, devoted sons-in-law DENNIS OAKES, STEVE THEBERGE and PAUL UMBANHOWAR, and adoring grandchildren MEREDITH, EMMETT, NATHAN, ANNIE and GRAHAM. Also survived by brothers JONATHAN and JAMES and sister ELIZABETH JACQUEMETTON. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched, including his companion ELAYNE CORNFELD. A memorial service was held at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Raphael Sacks, 6410 North Broad Street, Phila., PA 19126, on Tuesday, November 24th.

She was a retired restaurant hostess who resided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Beloved wife of 63 years to ALBERT; loving mother of ALLAN & ANDREA ROSEN, BRYAN ROSEN, and SHERRY & BILL TIMPERIO; proud grandmother of CARRIE (ALEX HELDERMAN) ROSEN, BRANDON (STEPHANIE) ROSEN, and AMANDA TIMPERIO; and great grandmother of JACOB HELDERMAN. GOLDSTEINS’ ROSENBERG’S RAPHAEL-SACKS ROSENTHAL DR. DAVID ROSENTHAL died December 1,

2009. He resided in Center City Philadelphia.

He graduated Germantown High School and Juliard in New York. He played the viola in multiple symphony orchestras. He graduated George Washington University and Temple University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was an Army and Navy Veteran. He was a physician since 1960 until his retirement in 1998.

He was the husband of SUZANNE (nee GOOTMAN); father of MICHAEL (DONNA) ROSENTHAL, SAMUEL (STACEY) ROSENTHAL and ABRIELLE ROSENTHAL; brother of DR. MARTIN (MARILYN) ROSENTHAL, SOLOMON (SUZIE) ROSENTHAL and TOBY (AARON) POGACH and grandfather of ABE, TOVAH, MANNY, ANNA and ALESSANDRA.

ROY was a businessman and had been a teacher of computer sciences at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia and received a master's degree in Mathematics Education. ROY was the oldest of 4 sons of the late HERBERT SCHRIFTMAN and SHIRLEY (GOLDMAN) SCHRIFTMAN, who just passed away last month. ROY is best remembered for his dry wit, love of science fiction books, gourmet foods and fine wines.

He and his wife, LERA, even traveled cross country to the California wine country. He was predeceased by his first wife TOBEY (nee ROSENZWEIG) SCHRIFTMAN who passed away of breast cancer at the tender age of 39.

He is survived by his loving wife VALERIYA (LERA) SCHRIFTMAN. He will be so greatly missed by his children DEENA and DAN BLUMENFELD, MICAH SCHRIFTMAN and ALEXANDER (SASHA) SCHRIFTMAN. He will be sadly missed by his 2 grandchildren, OWEN and ELAINE BLUMENFELD, as well as his 2 dogs, ARMAND and PRADA, who followed him everywhere. ROY is survived by his siblings, ROSS, LEE (NANETTE) and BARRY SCHRIFTMAN, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. GOLDSTEINS’ ROSENBERG’S RAPHAEL-SACKS SCHUMER RUTH (WAXMAN) SCHUMER, beloved wife of STANLEY of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on December 5th, 2009. RUTH was born in South Philadelphia. She was the daughter of ELIZABETH (SOBEL) and MEYER WAXMAN. In addition to raising her family, she was the Rabbi's Administrative Assistant at Temple Beth Torah for close to 20 years.

She is survived by her three sons: STEPHEN and his fiancé PATRICIA and children BRAD and DANIELLE; LEE and wife JUDY and children JUSTIN, KELLY and DYLAN; and MICHAEL and wife MEG and children WILL and ABBY. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister MIRIAM PUDELL.

Services will be held at a later date in the Philadelphia area. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

SIDNEY SEGAL, died last night, December 9, 2009 at the age of 84. He is survived by his daughter, JOANNE (SEGAL) OLIVERYEAGER and five grandchildren.

SHENBERG ROBERT L. “BOB” SHENBERG died Dec. 2, 2009 in Florida where he lived for the past 30 years. He was 83 years old. MR. SHENBERG was a WW II veteran, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a sales manager for many auto dealerships in the Philadelphia area and South Florida. He is survived by his wife ELAINE (nee: HORWITZ), his 3 children; HOWARD D. (WENDY) SHENBERG, BEVERLY (WILLIAM) KATES, and RENE GORE; his brother ROY (MYRNA) SHENBERG and 4 granddaughters; KIMBERLY (SCOTT) DAWSON, JENNIFER and ANNA KATES, and ALY (LEE) SOUTHERLAND, and his 2 great-grandchildren BENJAMIN and RACHEL DAWSON.
